Many people, after completing their caregiving journey with a dastardly disease, prefer to walk away and leave it behind.
I am still invigorated when I can speak to others coming behind me on the path. I know what they are really saying when they ask a bland question. I know when I see their eyes fill with tears what they are anxious about. And if I can see them laugh at one of our funny experiences, I think maybe I have demonstrated for them the importance of a few minutes of carefree laughter. Maybe I have lightened their load just a bit………..as others did for me.
I included humor in many parts of my book: Living With Lewy body Dementia, One Caregiver’s Personal, In-Depth Experience. The book is available on Amazon and all bookstores.
This might be MY blog page, but I really want to hear from others that are dealing with this. Please email me using the Contact page on this website.
